WELCOME TO GREAT FOOD!
                  Sancocho News

Sancocho is moving.

With a great deal of mixed emotion, we're leaving the Palm Beaches. We
thank everyone who supported us or supplied us with great ingredients. We'll
truly miss you all.

Blog Stew

Ok, we've done it. Sancocho has joined the blogosphere. If you have
questions, rants, observations, concerns, or news to share, do it here:

Slow Foods

Here at Sancocho, we're glad to announce that the Treasure Coast/Palm
Beach convivium of Slow Foods is finally a reality. Luz and I, along with local
farmers Sal and Holly Varri, Chef John Carlino, green market organizer T.A.
Wyner, and cheese expert and Italian foods representative Diane Campion
worked this summer to organize put in place the newest chapter in the Slow
Foods family. Slow Foods is a worldwide organization dedicated to
reconnecting the farmer with the consumer. This now makes the fifth Slow
Foods chapter in the state, along with Tallahassee, Miami, Orlando, and
Sarasota.
There are several farm dinners planned (the first is January 12 at
Varri
Green Farm) and other fun and informative events, such as cooking
demos at the Green Market and farm tours (Varri Green Farm, January
19th)
. Check back here often for updates.

Green Markets

It's been a long, hot summer, but market season is finally here. Please
support local growers at the Palm Beach and Lake Worth markets on
Saturdays and the Palm Beach Gardens market on Sundays.
